Blue Prints • Hurts Animals • Devalues animals • Reduced and then eliminated Thesis Statement: Testing animals for human benefit is not right it hurts animals, it devalues the animals, and it could be reduced and then eliminated.
Blue Print #1 Hurts Animals • Infect animals with diseases and give them test drugs • Animals are left with blindness, wounds that don’t heal, and infections. • Animals usually die slow painful deaths • Fatal cancer is a common effect of testing • Shaved and have chemicals rubbed on them
Blue Print #2 Devalues Animals • Experimenters claim right to test animals because supposed lack or reason • Scientist alter the system of animals • Take animals out of wild • Living conditions are bad and cramped quarters
…….continued • Government does not consider rats and mice real animals so they are tested on the most. • Animals are born to die • “Can they reason…..no, can they talk……no, can they suffer…….yes”
Blue Print #3 Reduced and then eliminated Reasons for elimination: • Does not work due to meager correlation • Test on animals also can’t measure headache, nausea, tinnitus, dizziness, blurred vision, amnesia, or depression that a product might cause. • Around Fifteen billion dollars a year from taxes
…..continued • Many alternatives: panels of human cells, synthetic skin, computer programs, biochips, and statistics. • Human clinical and epidemiological studies, cadavers, and computer stimulation are more reliable, more precise, less expensive, and more humane than animal testing
