  1. Bottle Rocket Project Objective: Build a rocket that will stay in the air the longest.

  2. Materials needed per group • One or two 2-liter SODA bottles (student supplied) • Cardboard (like from cereal boxes) – for fins (student supplied) • Large garbage bag for parachute (teacher supplied) • String for parachute (Student & teacher supplied)

  3. Project Time Line • Research: One class period, time at home • Building: Two class periods, only in school • Launching: One class period (hope for good weather!) • Lab report: Complete at home
