Call the stand-by phone line. I acquired my tickets on line. The selected three days that I would be in NYC. On week before the selected dates, I received a call from the letterman show. I would have to answer a question to get the tickets. Who is the Stage manger of The Late Show? And Who is the announcer of the Late Show??? After getting it right. I gave my name and the guest who would be coming with me. Remember you must have a picture ID. And you can not bring someone else. You must be on line at 3:30pm and receive a number to get back on line in number order at 4:30pm for a 5:30 taping of the show. On a person note, because I had a cane they let myself and my husband sit in the lobby. One hour before the show they sat us in the theater.. This was great we sat and listen to the band practice for time. Remember David likes it cold the temperature inside is always 47 degrees!!!I acquired my tickets on line.
