  2. Os números que escrevemos são compostos por algarismos (1, 2, 3, 4, etc), chamados “algarismos arábicos”, para distinguir dos chamados “algarismos romanos” (I, II, III, IV, etc).

  3. Os árabes popularizaram estes algarismos, mas sua origem remota aos comerciantes fenícios, que os usavam para contar e fechar a sua contabilidade comercial.

  4. Você já se perguntou alguma vez o motivo pelo qual “1” significa “um”, “2” significa “dois”, “3” significa “três”... ?

  5. Qual é a lógica que existe nos algarismos arábicos ?
