What made you want to work in the private sector rather than a government job like the National Weather Service?
Liked the idea of regular hours rather than shift work • NWS is ultra competitive • Private sector has many more opportunities
How has being a member of AMS aided you on your path to becoming a meteorologist?
Being active in AMS was very important. • Potential employers look highly on the activities you are involved in • AMS offers a wide variety of leadership opportunities. • AMS is a great opportunity to get involved • Also, it was a lot of fun!!
