Road Safety Week, 18-24 November, coordinated by the charity • Road Safety Week aims to raise awareness about what we can do to make roads safer and prevent needless tragedies. • Road Safety Week is an opportunity to get creative, and shout loud and proud about road safety, and there are endless ways to get involved. • The theme for 2013 is Tune in to Road Safety by raising awareness of the fact that we're all human: we daydream, get side-tracked, run late and make mistakes. But on roads, distractions can be fatal.

Fundraising ideas… Bright for Brake. Wear the brightest clothes you have in return for a small donation to Brake. Wake up for work day raising awareness of driver tiredness http://www.brake.org.uk/have-fun/wake-up-for-work-day.htm Bake for Brake. We had a traffic light themed cake stall for imaginative bakers. Road safety quiz and raffle. Our suppliers donated several prizes including a BMW for the weekend and an RAC young persons driver training session. A group of our internship gap year students set up a car wash for a day.
