About me • From HoCo – Centennial Grad (2003) • Undergrad from Towson, studied French, Spanish and Education • This is my 5th year at MRHS, my 7th year overall (I previouslytaught at Clarksville and Lime Kiln Middle Schools) • Live in right down the road in Woodstock with my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Morrison • Also teach French 101 at HCC • Here at MRHS I am the sponsor of the French National Honor Society and the French Club – encourage your French student to join us! • I also sponsor the Red Cross Club for any students interested in earning service hours for a great cause

Class Expectations – Spanish 1/2 • All students will receive a textbook to keep at home – we have a class set here • Realidades 1 (Purple) Sp. 1 • Realidades 2 (Blue) Sp. 2 • We will be signing up to access the ONLINE version of the textbooks as well…Great way to study at home! • Check in with them frequently! • Don’t forget about: • Tutors (peers and/or other county teachers – I will have a list soon!) • Online resources (my website, the textbook, flashcard/game sites) • EXTRA CREDIT – posted on website (10pts/qtr) • ME!

  5. Class Expectations Continued– Spanish 2 • Students who were in Spanish 1 and passed are encouraged to continue to Spanish 2 • Students who have skill gaps are encouraged to seek tutoring – a tutor list will be avail. Soon • Spanish 2 is unique this year – a hybrid class

Class Expectations – French 3 • We are going OFF THE MAP this year! • NO one, single, awful TEXTBOOK! • INTENSIVE Grammar! • Spoken French from EVERYone, EVERYday! • GOAL : 100% in French communication from EVERYONE • THIS IS THE NEW FRENCH 3! • Can you tell I’m excited!?!?! • Grand Concours National Exam, in March, $6
