  1. Can Lid Sizes There are two common 12 and 16 ounce can lid sizes. Major US breweries are in the process of changing their can lids from the larger size #4 to the smaller size #2. Most soft drink can lids are size #2. The following table identifies the latest information we have on the brands affected. Size #2 (small) Most Anheuser-Busch cans Some Miller cans Most Canadian beer cans Most soft drink & soda cans Size #4 (large) Some Miller cans Most Coors cans An easy way to check the can lid size is to use a place a Coke or Pepsi can lid to lid with the unknown can. If the unknown can lid is the same as the Coke/Pepsi can lid, then it is size #2.
