MINTs - Result • Transformed the ‘classroom’, ‘library’, and ‘textbook’ as we know it • Transformed the way teachers teach • Students became active learners • Improved student achievement & test scores • Fewer absences & behavioral problems • Increased parental involvement • Districts adding more classrooms
eMINTS - Enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies • Commissioner’s challenge: develop a program that would expand on the success of MINTS • Year 1 => 9 clusters, 44 districts, 88 classrooms • Funded by MOREnet e-rate savings and local match • Enhance teacher support • Enhance technical support • Continue and expand evaluation
