To set up a system which will allow it to track emission and how much of it is absorbed by the country’s greenery. Land plots will be chosen to represent these categories as well as various vegetation types. Government has pledged to cut emissions by 7% to 11% below this projection. The 5 Year Plan
In 2010, Singapore emitted around 43 million tonnes, about 0.2 percent of the world’s output of greenhouse gases that caused global warming. If the country had done nothing after 2005 to reduce emissions, its output in 2020 would reach 77.2 million tonnes. Global Warming
My Thoughts I think the actions that Singapore’s Government took was a rightful action as Singapore is a city with many skyscrapers. With limited land space, there are definitely lesser greenery in Singapore. HDB and other housing types are taking over these greenery that we used to have. Planting more of these plants that can Singapore a better and greener place.
