  3. KATELIOS A beautiful, traditional, fishing village that encompasses the wonderful blue of the sea and the serenity of the mountains. Katelios is renowned for its fresh fish and there are plenty of restaurants boasting a large choice, often caught that very morning by the owner of the restaurant.

  4. AG. VARVARA A sandy beach with crystal clear water, only a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk from villa Aliona. The beach here is long, sandy and gently shelving with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. Small motorboats are available to rent so you can explore the coast on your own. This is also the perfect spot for eating and drinking with a number of restaurants and café bars along the beach front together with a couple of minimarkets.

SKALA A 10 minute drive down the coast brings you to the more bustling resort of Skala with a much larger choice of restaurants, café bars, gift shops and supermarkets together with a fairly laid back nightlife. The Blue Flag awarded beach at Skala is long and mainly sandy, with beach bars, watersports, sunbeds and umbrellas.

  6. RATZAKLI- KAMINIA The beautiful crystal clear warm and shallow waters of Kaminia beach where the Caretta Caretta turtles lay their eggs is according to many visitors the best swimming experience on the island of Kefalonia.
