2. Regal Marine – The Design Process Regal constantly seeks input from customers, dealers, and consultants to get ideas of how to improve a design or making a completely new one. People from different sectors of the company: engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, etc meet to discuss the paper models and specifications. The design group comes up with ideas for new boats that will fit in with the image of Regal Marine and then the design is analyzed by engineers to see if it is viable. By Tannhäuser 2009

3. Regal Marine – The Design Process When they are satisied with the design aesthetics and design innovation they use CAD to model the boats and components necessary to manufacture. They make prototypes that are tested and re-tested to ensure that the design is sound and that it fits the image of Regal Marine. Then the manufacture is begun, with the hull and bow being created with a mold. The decks and other important components are then inserted into place and finally the finishing touches (paint, interior decorating, etc.) The finished boat is then sent to testing to make sure that it is in perfect condition.
