Harry Coumnas is Trained to Pilot in a Spacecraft as an Astronaut • Harry Coumnas does activities related to human space exploration as an astronaut. • He conducts experiments and gathers information while in space flight. • Harry mans space exploration vehicles and launches into outer space. • He also operates vehicle with assistance from the pilot and is familiar with all onboard systems.

He Formerly Served as the Pilot Astronaut • Formerly serving as the pilot astronaut; Harry acted as the primary navigator for extravehicular remote devices as well as the shuttle itself. • He spent much of his time training and schooling as well, while spending only a fraction of his career in space.

Harry Teams With Astronaut Pilots to Form a Space Shuttle as Mission Specialist • He thinks that because there is less food and sleep available in space, surviving the journey is quite difficult. • Harry maintains space shuttles, teaches pilots to fly shuttles, and prepares mission experts to take care of other technical astronaut duties. • He spends long periods of time in enclosed environments with low gravity. • Harry identifies issues in a particular research area. • He is mentally and physically prepared for life in space prior to any mission.
