Telescopes 4th EVN-NREN meeting - Amsterdam
Medicina status • Telescope-Medicina fiber deployment and connection just done (jun05-aug05) • Acceptance test planned for 20 October 2005 • Medicina-Bologna backbone suspended for some unavailable permissions • An immediate connection solution trough Faenza, Imola (147Km) • Two regeneration point: Cotignola, Imola with hardware: cisco 2950G, G-BIC LH modules • Planned availability: end of 2005 4th EVN-NREN meeting - Amsterdam
Sardinia • The regional government has disposed a plan for fiber connections of island with Palermo and Rome (project CyberSAT) • This project will provide also the SRT connection to the back-bones 4th EVN-NREN meeting - Amsterdam
Noto • No good news. We have not yet found a way to connect the telescope to GARR network 4th EVN-NREN meeting - Amsterdam
Matera • A fiber is already connecting the station with the GARR (32Mbit) • More uncertainness are about the future of the telescope. It now require an heavy maintenance program. 4th EVN-NREN meeting - Amsterdam
