ABSTRACT THE PROFILE OF PATIENT COMPLIANCE IN USING OF ORAL ANTIDIABETIC DRUGS ( Study at Farmasi Airlangga and KPRI RSU Pharmacy Dr Soetomo Surabaya) Compliance means a habit of controlling and following the dose of the medicine regulation. Noncompliance to the therapy is found on the patient with chronic disease including Diabetes mellitus. This cause a serious problems for it influences the therapy effectiveness. This research aimed to find out the profile of patient compliance in using oral antidiabetic drugs. The instrument use in data collecting were questionnaire and interview method. The data was then analyzed descriptively. The respondents were patients who dispensed their prescriptions at Farmasi Airlangga and KPRI RSU Dr Soetomo Pharmacies Surabaya during November 2007. Result shows that from 29 respodents 86 % have compliance and 14 % disregarding the regulation, neither from following the right dose, right time, right method and the exact frequency medicine usage written on the label in accordance to the prescription given by the physician.
