  2. Their features • Scientific name: Panthera Leo • Only male lions have mane • The lions are the second largest feline • They are the laziest animals • Their roars carry for more than 5 miles

  3. Their habitat • The lions actually live in the savannahs and grasslands of Africa and India

  4. Their food • Hunt and eat mammals • Africa: Wildebeest, warthogs, zebras, buffalos and different types of antelope • India: Deer, wild boars • They eat large animals when they’re hungry

  5. Their behaviors • The lions spend the most of their time sleeping • They’re inactive 20 hours per day • They use to dominate smaller felines.

  6. Prides • The lions live in prides, which are their “families” • Each pride has between 4 to 30 lions • Each one has its own territory • There are many females and babies and one or more males • When the cubs are 3 years old, they leave their prides
