  4. Dulcet – soft and soothing • Sometimes even dulcet music makes for a dull sit.

  5. Arduous – hard, difficult • The arduous trail is hard on us and the huskies.

  6. Reminisce – recalling the past • Years later, he will reminisce about his rim miss.

  7. Histrionic – overly dramatic • Our teacher used histrionics to teach history.

  8. Bludgeon – short, heavy, thick club • The medieval jailer kept the bludgeons in the dungeon.

  9. Milieu - environment • The bathroom was a milieu of mildew.

  10. Beleaguer – to besiege and harass • They were beleaguered by big leaguers.

  11. Porcine – of or pertaining to a pig • The porcine pen was a poor scene.
