3. Introduction • A team is complete only when it has the players, support staff, managers n LAST but not the LEAST the BILLION fans it has got .Player motivation is an important addition to the inputs, mental conditioning given by the Coaches and support staff. It is how WE the FANS support our team and give them the best possible positive energy to each and every player to perform well each and every match. • It is more than going to the stadiums, shouting and cheering. It is on how we can relate and understand the players and thereby give them what they need to perform at their level best for each and every match.

4. Each player must be equally encouraged and support by the fans in order that he is motivated and backed by the fans to perform always. May the player be an international superstar or just a local rookie he will have to be backed very well by we the fans equally based on his needs. Through his comfortable as well as his torrid times it is we the FANS who must give him the full strength and support that he requires to fire on all cylinders

Importance of Player Motivation • Player Motivation is a very important in an intense and hard fought game of cricket because of the following benefits it provides - 1-Puts human resources into action 2-Gets the best out of each and every player 3-Leads to achievements to Set goals 4-Builds friendly and healthy relationships between fans and the Players 5-Helps players to perform consistently

6. Fans Role As stated the FANS are the ones who Play a major role in the MOTIVATION of the PLAYERS. PLAYING AT HOME • When the Team is playing at home it is highly advisable that before the start of the game a few fans are allowed to meet the players, interact with them , give them the extra boost and let them know about how the fans will be cheering, supporting and what and all has been planned in order to make the TEAM feel totally at home n play to their level best.

7. PLAYING AWAY FROM HOME • When the team is going to play outside home they need to be made to feel at home even there. This has already been done wonderfully by the RCB team management by introducing the mighty 14.However in this fans must be allowed to speak to the players ,tell them that they must feel at home even here and that even though they may find the full stadium with opposition supporters the whole of Bangalore is glued to the TV and we are there in a tiny corner of the stadium and in the BIG corner of their hearts. We must make videos of the fans ,their support for them ,anthems n slogans to show that even though they may not be playing at home they still are very close to our hearts and must enjoy as much as they like to play at home.

8. TEAM ANTHEM • A team anthem which is highly inspirational can get any player up to perform at his best!! The whole of the RCB community must be brought together and auditons must be held for selecting a band that continues to produce mind blowing songs and anthems for the team. As we now see songs such as Wavin Flag has caught the hearts of many people before the start of the FIFA world Cup and therefore we to must make such terrific and motivational. Though yes RCB does have an anthem it would be better if the fans Make it rather than inviting celebrities to compose them and make them

PLAYERS MOTIVATIONAL VIEDEOS • Every player must have a video made by the Fans of his best performances which he can view before match!!(eg Rahul Dravids wonderful knock against Rajasthan Royals in the DLF IPL-2 match no2, dale Styen and Praveen kumar of their best wickets,Uthappas blaze against CSK in Bangalore in IPL-3, Manish Pandey Century ,etc.) The players when they view their such videos will get inspired and give their best shot every match thus making the ROYAL CHALLENGERS OF BANGLORE the most CHALLENGING team to FACE anytime!! • Also to add to this a player who has lost form ,when viewing such videos may come back harder and strike form the very next match which will eventually be good for the team.

10. TREATING ALL PLAYERS WELL • No player must be ridiculed or snubbed just because we lost a match clearly because of him or because of him by any chance. As every one has his/her bad day and so does the player. It is at this time that the player must be be showered upon with enormous support so that in the next possible game he is the MATCH winner! • Racism Must strictly Never ever be there in our wonderful team. Each player must be treated equally and differences must not be drawn leading to a players feelin bad.

11. PLAYERS DEVOLUPMENT • Though This may not come under player motivation I feel this is highly necessary as it helps in the development of a player and the nation. Fans must be allowed to conduct programs such as the ill affects of smoking to the players and must be shown to them in like a presentation form . They must be made to realize that by smoking they are spoiling themselves and not making the best use of the talent that the almighty has given them. • In our country Cricket is as good as a religion and players are respected like gods. So if the players can set an example of not smoking then the whole public will start following this thus leading to a healthier India

12. PLAYERS WEBSITES • Each and every player must have a website of his own which has been purely created out of the love for him by his fans and where these fans can interact and discuss about him. • Players must also view these websites created for them regularly and see how much love is being showered on them by their fans . This will further motivate the player to fire big guns in the matches • A link to each of these websites must be posted on the Royal Challengers official site as fans will then find it easily more accessible .

14. FOR THE SOCIETY • During the IPL players must be taken to orphanages and places where under privileged and special needs children are , spend time with them, interact with them and share their fun and joy . • This will help the players realize how much the almighty has given them in life when compared to these children who have totally nothing. Thus the players will understand how fortunate they are and the number of opportunities they get in life and will thus tend to perform well in the opportunities given to them. • Also the children there will be happy and by putting a smile on someone's face the amount of happiness we get is totally unbelievable thus it will lift the morale of the player.

15. Acknowledgements I would like to start of by thanking the Royal Challengers management for hosting such a wonderful event where fans of the Royal Challengers can share their idea and views. I would also like to thank the community managers of the Royal Challengers website for being very cordial friendly with us , Radio Sandeep for having some very stern conversations with me on Thursday evening to push my parents to end limits to send me for this and also Kunal Kamdar who was very patient , spoke to my father and convinced him to send me for this Fan summit. Last but not the least would like to thank my parents who after all the fights n ruffles on Thursday evening sent me for this Fan summit and also my friends and well wishers back at home who have constantly been supporting me.

16. I thus hope that all the above points mentioned will be thought of and implemented use in the RCB annual fan Summit.
