Current position • The current learning programs continue until 2016; • Accreditation continues; • Registration of assessors and moderators continues; • Quality Assurance license is extended to 2016; • Alignment of learning material to current system; • NLRD uploads as per current system.
Current position continues… • The development of RPL system and Dutch system; • Engagement with colleges, Universities and business sector; • Influx of providers from other SETAS; • Shift into new mode of training delivery; • Capacity building of training provision; • Partnership development.
STATUS OF TRAINING PROVISION The Qualifications which are not performing would not be renewed Existing qualifications The accreditation of Skills Development providers- to start next year. Current accreditation status The new registration process of practitioners is expected to kick start next year Status of assessors and moderators
Current training provision continues… • The development system RPL system and FET engagement underway; • resources development for RPL Systems; • College, university collaboration for career pathing and recognition;
QCTO UPDATES • KEY ASPECTS • PROGRESS • Accreditation of SD provider; • Moratorium on devel. Of quals; • certification of learners to finalised; • Engagement with FET’s for rollout
CHALLENGES • Replacement of legacy NQF qualifications • QCTO not on board with systems and structural progress; • To and fro movements of qualification development; • Lack of QCTO capacity to advance implementation; • Learnership regulations not adjusted to new plans.
CONCLUSION AND WAYFOWARD • 2015 likely to be full of surprises • Collaboration with FET’s and Agric colleges ideal;
