Body Mass Index (BMI) • Ratio that allows you to assess: • body size in relation to ht. and wt. • Influenced by: • Gender • Age • Weight/Height • Body frame • Growth rate • Metabolic rate • Activity level

Improving Cardiovascular Endurance • Examples: swimming, walking, biking, hiking, skating, etc. • Helps increase your heart rate & lung capacity • Done 3-5 days a week • For 30-60 minutes
Improving Flexibility • Through regular stretching exercises • Done before every physical activity • Examples: • Arm circles • Lunges • Hollywood's • Butterflies • Crossovers
Improving Muscular Strength and Muscular Endurance • Examples: • Weight Lifting • Resistance exercises • Yoga • Push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups • Done 2-3 day a week
