  3. Epidemiology (1980-2009) Men/woman ratio: 1,5; • Most affected strata between 30-49y, increasing in older than 50 y; • 47,7 % of infected are white ethnicity; • Pregnant woman: 54.218 20-29 y Ministério da Saúde 2010

  4. Source of HIV acquisition (1980-2010) - Vertical transmission: 4.181

  5. Co-infection HIV/TBC % BK performed Coinfection

  6. HAART • 1700 euros/year/pacient (2002-2007) with treatment, • Universal access since 1996, • When start treatment: 1. Symptomatics 2. Asymptomatics - CD4 >500: no ART - CD4 350-500: HCV, HBV, nephropathy, any cancer, VL> 100.000, high risk for CVD, - CD4 <350: ART 3. Pregnancy

  7. Brazilianguidline for treatment - NRTI ZDV, 3TC, TDF - ddI, d4T, ABC -NNRTI EFZ, - NVP • PI ATV, LOP/r - DRV, IDV, APV -Rescue therapy: T20, raltegravir, etravirina, maravirock

  8. Appointment: CD4, CV, Use of HAART, Side efects of HAART, Genotyping, Advices (protect sex, immunization).
