Right of Way • Permanent easements are recommended for two drainage outfalls in Segments C and D • Acquisition process ongoing by FDOT • Interim discharge mechanisms can be provided within existing R/W, enabling acquisition without construction schedule impacts • FDOT’s intent is that all other project construction activities be conducted within the existing R/W

Drainage • All conceptual drainage and permitting analysis has been based on the full build-out of the PD&E Preferred Alternative, including: • Conceptual Drainage Report • BHR Memo • Cross Drain Analysis • Permit Plans • Permit Sketches • Linear dry detention swales throughout project limits for treatment and attenuation, except between county line and Bass Creek Road where exfiltration trench will be utilized • Wet detention ponds within infield areas for treatment, attenuation, and floodplain compensation

Permitting • FDOT to obtain conceptual permits based on ultimate build-out of PD&E Preferred Alternative • Joint FDEP/SFWMD/USACE ERP (RAI #3 completed) • SFWMD ROW Occupancy Permit (RAI #1 completed) • SFWMD Water Use (Dewatering) Master Permit (approved) • CBWCD Stormwater Permit (RAI #1 completed) • SBDD Stormwater Permit (approved) • D-B Firm responsible for obtaining (per segment): • SFWMD Standard General ERP(s) • CBWCD and SBDD Paving and Drainage Permit(s) • Special Conditions documentation in support of SFWMD Master Dewatering Permit requirements • Any additional permit modifications and/or mitigation required by USACE due to design/construction changes

Sound Barriers • PD&E Study recommended 16 locations for new or replacement sound barriers north of NW 170th St. • 12 of the 16 recommended walls to be constructed as part of the Express Lanes Projects • Noise reevaluation ongoing • Sound barrier limits and heights to be provided to D-B Firms

Contamination • Reports prepared • Phase I Contamination Screening Evaluation Report • Phase II Impact to Construction Assessment Report • Bridge Asbestos Containing Materials Reports • Level II testing identified 2 contamination-impacted groundwater zones in vicinity of the corridor and minor arsenic impacts to soil at various corridor locations • Soil Management Plan provided in Phase II Report • Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) identified for: • NB and SB I-75 bridges over Snake Creek • Bass Creek Road bridge over I-75 • Miramar Parkway bridge over I-75

Geotechnical • PD&E Geotechnical Reports & additional Soil Boring Logs for Bridges, MSE Walls, Sound Barrier Walls & Roadway will be provided • Boring Data approximate spacing: • Roadway median borings - 500 feet • Bridge borings - alternate bent locations (no borings drilled in water bodies) • MSE Wall borings - 500 feet • Sound Barrier Wall borings - 250 feet • Organic Soils / Unsuitable Materials to be removed within 6 feet (minimum) below existing grade

Landscape • Landscape Concept Design to be provided to D-B Firms • Screening/buffering areas without sound barrier walls • Bold performing landscape design in select corridor locations • Adheres to FDOT’s new “Business of Beautification” initiative • D-B Firm responsible for relocation of designated desirable native trees where impacted by construction • Corridor tree survey conducted

Public Outreach • Recent and ongoing outreach efforts: • Elected Official briefings • Broward MPO TCC & CIR presentations on November 26 & 27, 2012, respectively • TIP/STIP Amendment presentation to Broward County MPO on December 13, 2012 • New website (75-Express.com) launched on December 16, 2012 • Public announcement of Industry Workshop and January 15, 2013 Public Information Meeting • Communication tools – media, website, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, fact sheets, newsletters, etc. • D-B Firms responsible for providing ongoing support to Public Information Officer for: • Community Awareness Program • Public meeting / workshops • Technical assistance • Display graphics

Overpass • Broward County design plans currently Phase IV status • Consideration of Pembroke Rd. bridge and MSE walls construction within LA R/W as part of Segment C • Broward County contractor will construct east/west roadway approaches and walls up to LA R/W • Segment D – I-75/Sheridan St. interchange • Advancement of full and partial interchange improvements under consideration

D6 Project Scope • Single and dual Express Lanes • Category II structure connecting I-75 EL to SR 826 EL • Widening along SR 826 where public R/W is available • Toll gantries, housing and increase in ITS backbone capacity • Ramp signaling along SR 826 • Sound barrier walls and new landscaping along I-75 • Additional lighting along I-75 Express Lanes

Drainage • Analysis based only on the implementation of Express Lanes along I-75 and SR 826 corridors • Concept Drainage Report • Peter’s Pike Canal Hydraulic Calculations • Permit Plans & Sketches • Master Drainage Plan includes 36 major basins • Addition of French drains • Modifications to the existing weirs • No additional trench drains allowed except when replacing existing trench drains
