  2. ASRC Overview Summary Statistics The ASRC is involved in applied research in the area of, data distribution to an management of both internal and edge nodes. Since its establishment in July 2003 the ASRC has secured: • Projects valued at approx €1.2M • Ongoing projects are valued at approx €1M The ASRC currently employs: • 11 full time research staff (1 full time academic researcher, 3 senior researchers, 6 researchers and a masters researcher. The ASRC currently has approval for a further 9 staff: • 3 senior researchers, 5 researchers and a masters researcher.

ASRC Overview ASRC Future Research Areas • Distributed Micro Mobile Application Architectures - This area will research the design of application architectures suitable for deployment in a micro mobile environment. • Intelligent Data Distribution Architectures - This area will investigate the design of intelligent architectures for the control of, and distribution of data to, edge nodes over heterogeneous underlying physical mediums.
