  2. Infotrak (standalone system at the Depository)  time to go… 1. Move data onto the local INNOPACS. 2. Data migration project (2003-2006). 3. Problem clean up. 4. New Depository barcode loaded into local INNOPAC.

  3. First meeting of DEPCM working group: December 2004

  4. Goals, Background and Assumptions of the Journal De-Duping Project: 1. 60% or more of titles in depo have dups in depo. 2. UA and CSU laws both exempt (ABA). 3. Lead the statewide repurposing of all 5 depositories.

  5. Goals, Background and Assumptions of the Journal De-Duping Project: 4. “Speak Now" to bring titles back to campus (Summer 2006). 5. Represent de-duplicated combined holdings at the Depository on a single local INNOPAC record. 6. NE Ohio Memorandum of Understanding.

  6. Basics of the de-duping process: 1. Determine "Library of Record”  for each title based on which site has the most and best holdings. 2. All copies reviewed for condition. 3. Duplicate copies removed and recycled.

  7. Basics of the de-duping process: 4. Represent the complete run of depository holdings for this title on a single record in the local INNOPAC of the Library of Record. 5. LIB HAS and item records edited/created on the Library of Record system and contributed to central catalog. • So, only Library of Record depository holdings display in central catalog.

  8. Basics of the de-duping process: 7. Adjust holdings and item records on local systems of all contributors. 8. On non-Library of Record INNOPACS, use 856 to direct users to full holdings statement of the Library of Record on the Central Catalog.

  9. After de-duping… 1. PCIRC: de-duped depo journals that have been processed under the new journal program guidelines will circulate via Ohiolink. • 1 week circ with no renewals (same as media loan rule). • I-Type 212 (Circulating Periodicals). • PCIRC details not all in place at Central Catalog as of this writing.

  10. After de-duping… 2. These same journals are available for local requesting in the Library of Record INNOPAC. • Note:--unprocessed depo journals may currently circ under different rules - be sure to review your local situation.

  11. Here's how it looks in the catalogs…
