Capacity Building and Skill upgradation of farmers • 31 trainings/ workshops/ seminars organized at state level for 1115 extension functionaries. • 88 Inter-State training programmes organized involving 1544 progressive farmers. • 178 in-State training programmes organized involving 2685 progressive farmers. • 1022 in-district training programmes organized involving 6581 progressive farmers. • Jharkhand Agriculture & Soil Management Institute (JASMIN) has been established for need based capacity building efforts.

Activities of SAMETI with beneficiaries through SAMETI website. Wall writing scheme information at block level. Press & Media involvement Farmers portal – Farmers registration (2.54 lakhs) and 5047 Agro Advisory sent.

Close Monitoring and Supervision at Block/District/State Level • Monitoring teams at Block/District/State level constituted for regular supervision of agricultural operations. • State Level Monitoring Teams constituted one for each district . • State level Senior officer (KVK Scientist-1), (BAU Scientist-1) for technical, administrative and management support. • Flying Squads constituted in each district to prevent black marketing of fertilizers and seeds. • Help line for farmers set up at Agriculture Directorate level. • Weekly District Task Force (DTF) Meeting organized in each district under Deputy Commissioner. • Control Room set up at each district head quarters.

Strengthening of Extension Services Network 179 Block Technology Managers (BTM) working 135 Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) working. 1836 Village Level Workers (VLW) newly selected. 14856 Kisan Mitras working. 948 farm schools have been operationalized [913 farm School 2012-13]. Specialized Training imparted to Kisan Mitra/Block Technology Managers/Subject Matter Specialist. Agricultural Technology Information Centres (ATIC) set up at each block level and linked to NeGP programme
