  1. Talking about likes and dislikes To talk about things we like, we use the verb “gustar” Look at the following sentences: Me gustapintar. (I like to paint.) ¿Te gustapintar? (Do you like to paint?) A Juan le gustapintar. (Juan likes to paint.)

  2. These expressions are literally translated as: Painting is pleasing to me (you, Juan) We use the following construction: me Te + gusta + infinitive, or noun le

  3. Read the following: Pregunta: Roberto, ¿tegustacantar? Respuesta: Sí, me gustacantar. Pregunta: Juana, ¿tegusta el gimnasio? Respuesta: No, no me gusta el gimnasio. Pregunta: Antonia, ¿tegustair al cine? Respuesta: Sí, me gusta mucho ir al cine.

  4. Pregunta: ¿A quién le gusta el otoño? Respuesta: A Sara le gusta el otoño. Pregunta: ¿A Pablo le gusta la biblioteca? Respuesta: Sí, a Pablo le gusta la biblioteca. Pregunta: ¿A Victor le gustaestudiar? Respuesta: No, a Victor no le gustaestudiar.

  5. I like to sing. You like to practice sports. Elena likes to paint. I like Summer. Do you like Winter? Juan likes Spring. Me gustacantar. Te gustapracticar los deportes. A Elena le gustapintar. Me gusta el verano. ¿Te gusta el invierno? A Juan le gusta la primavera.

  6. Using adjectives Sometimes you can use an adjective without the word it describes. Pregunta: ¿Cuálbolígrafotegusta? Respuesta: Me gusta el bolígraforojo. También me gusta el amarillo. How does the second sentence translate? I also like the yellow one.
