Is registration online? pre-register? • How much does it cost? • What equipment do I need to buy? • Am I going to be asked to volunteer? • Who can I contact with questions?
Tips for Operating Your Website About the League • What’s the history of the league? • Are they affiliated with Little League? • Who are the key volunteers? What is their background? • How is the league run? Governance? Real-time updates: • Schedules, facilities used, games and practices, cancellations, tournament information Inspire participation • Highlight good things happening in your league/district • Show families and kids having fun
Tips for Operating Your Website Promote It • Create a simple URL • Use the website on all materials • Use it when speaking to local media Generate Revenue • Use advertising to generate league revenue • Create special offers for families of the league with local businesses
Online League Management Tips Outline all administrative challenges • What league functions slow us down? Payment processing? Scheduling?
