DID YOU KNOW THAT? • The Atlantic Ocean is saltier than the Pacific • The only stones in Antarctica are fragments of meteorites • Your skull has 29 bones • You lose 100 hairs on average a day (that’s if you’re not me ) • Laughing during the day helps you sleep better at night (so start laughing !)

  3. OUTLINE OF PRESENTATION • CHOOSE A THEME: BRIDGES, KITES ETC.. • BRAINSTORM A LIST OF SCIENCE/ MATH CONCEPTS YOU LEARNED • CHOOSE ONE CONCEPT • FOCUS ON BUILDNG A LESSON TOWARDS THAT CONCEPT

  4. LESSON PRESENTATION SHOULD INCLUDE • CONCEPT TARGETED • NATIONAL / STATE CONTENT STANDARDS • TOPIC • OBJECTIVE OF LESSON • GRADE LEVEL TARGETED • MATERIALS NEEDED • PROCEDURE- USE INQUIRY BASED/ INCLUDE ELEMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE LESSONS DISCUSSED • ON LINE REFERENCES

  5. Presentations should…. • INVOLVE ALL TEAM MEMBERS • BE NOT MORE THAN 10 MINUTES • SHOW HOW YOU HAVE INCORPORATED SOME OF THE ENGINEERING IDEAS YOU EXPERIENCES INTO ACTIVITIES SUITABLE TO TEACH YOUR COLLEAGUES OR A CLASSROOM. • REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR PRESENTATION ON YOUR USB DRIVE!!!!
