  4. Freud and Family Ernst was raised by the Freud family after the death of his mother of the pandemic influenza of the first World War. He was the only one of Freud’s grandchildren to become a psychoanalyst. He is the little boy reclining his head on Freud’s shoulder in the previous picture. Donated by Daniel Benveniste, PhD.
