  1. THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM By Gabriel Ochoa & Robert Bilimek

  2. To start us off here is the video below. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps64D3Juv5A • It contains the Repertory System along with all of its functions, and major organs.

  3. How the system works! • Air first enters your body through your nose. The air then travels through your voice box and down your windpipe. The windpipe splits into two bronchial tubes that enter your lungs. • Your airways are the: • Mouth • Larynx or voice box • Trachea or windpipe • Tubes called bronchial tubes or bronchi, and their branches

  4. Major organs and functions! Of the entire respiratory system the major organs are the nose, pharynx, larynx, diaphragm, bronchi, and the lungs. Which all help you breath. Nose- A passage way which lets air in and out. Pharynx- a tube like structure behind the oral and nasal cavities. Larynx- Tube after the larynx, is a tube connected to lungs. Diaphragm-a muscular structure, and expands chest. Bronchi- allows the passage from air to lungs. Lungs-The lungs air filled organs located on both sides of the chest Alveoli- exchanges oxygen for carbon dioxide through the lungs.
