Bohemia, Sutton-on-Sea. This postcard shows a group of corrugated iron chalets for holiday makers of the 1920’s. These prefabricated ‘huts’ had wooden floors, a living room and bedroom and electric lighting.
Sectional wooden bungalow (Boulton and Paul), Gosberton, Lincolnshire. This bungalow was constructed at the turn of the 20th century by the Noble family whose forge and carriage works was situated on the same lane. This building is currently scheduled for demolition.
Tarran prefab. These prefabricated buildings were constructed originally as part of the 1944 Temporary Housing Scheme. Very few remain in occupation in the East Midlands.
