Good News Capps received an A in Science and Writing Capps received an A in Student Attendance Rate Capps received an A in Overall Whole School Performance Capps received a B in Social Studies, Overall 2012 Student Performance, Dropout Rate and Advanced Coursework
Good News Capps Increased in year to year comparisons in 10 out of 12 areas. Reading cohorts made 10% gains. 100% pass rate in Algebra I 100% pass rate in Geometry
Areas of Focus Overall student growth in reading and math Bottom 25% improvement in both reading and math
Student Ownership • Students… • Reviewed their scores from last year. • Worked with teachers to set an action plan to increase score in 2013. • Review progress quarterly
School Growth • Identify students in bottom quartile • Individualized plan for remediation, target specific skills • Monthly RTI Meetings • Reading time four days a week • Increase opportunities for on level and above learners
