  2. Characters Zaphod Beeblebrox: He is the president of the galaxy, he became the president to steal the Heart of Gold and discover the legendary planet Magrathea. Arthur Dent: One of the last humans in the galaxy, he was taken off Earth before it was destroyed. Ford Prefect: One of Arthur’s only friends he helps him off Earth.

  3. summary In the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy the main characters start on earth but then an alien fleet blows up Earth. After they escape earth the are rescued by the president of the galaxy. He was searching for a planet called Magrathea. When they find the planet they meet a man who made part of earth. It turns out that Magrathea is a planet that makes other planets. They are taken to the new Earth that is being made. Then they are captured by mice and they try to get the question to life, the universe, and everything. But then they give up and just and make up this question, “how many roads must a man walk down.”

  5. Fun facts • The guy who finds them on Magrathea made and won an award for Norway. • The president of the galaxy has two heads. • Earth is a giant machine in the book. • Marvin is a is a super smart and depressed robot.
