Placement Process • Concept of mutual consent is being finalized with Local 420 • Current transfer and reassignment processes are ineffective • Current policy requires reassignment/placement to be based on seniority rather than teacher quality or school fit • Mutual consent will allow teachers to select specific schools and principals will be afforded the opportunity to interview and select teachers St. Louis Public Schools
