UF/PNPI HV-system PNPI test stand was improved. Some manuals, mapping sheets, etc. were prepared also. Oleg Maev
UF/PNPI HV-system Recalibration in situ (from Evgeny): Done: • Remote control of MATSUSADA with RS-232 serial port was realized. • CMS SW for calibration was investigated and partially adapted for LHCb. • Driver was little bit corrected. • Calibration of Voltage sensors was realized in prototype version on test stand for single RDB module. To be done: • Continuing work with adaptation of packet of CMS SW to the LHCb requirements. • Developing of calibration of Master modules and implementation it in the program packet (absent in CMS SW). • Realization of voltage sensors monitoring SW. • Moving and installation SW on PC in the PIT. • Organizing of DB for calibration files and developing of user friendly interface and probably some instruments for analysis of data. • Changing Primary PS control from serial port to USB interface, if it is needed. That is special nontrivial task. Oleg Maev

Status of Muon chambers • In total (99,8 % - OK): • 3 Gaps are disconnected because of short circuits. • 2 Gaps have a dark current depending from humidity. • 1 Gap has a dark current, under training. • 5 Gaps have a sparks of unknown nature. Oleg Maev
Plans for 2009 Main goal: Supporting the Muon system in a best shape. Tasks for a beginning of next year: • HV&MWPC --- baby-sitting on HV and chambers as usual, finishing of work with SW for recalibration in situ. (Evgeny ~2-3 months). • Inspection and repairing of masked channels on M2-M5. • Changing of chambers with short circuits and may be with dark current. • Testing of PNPI spare chambers with electronics (Neustroev and Bochin). • Helping in M1-chambers installation, testing, etc., when it is needed.
