Today’s Objective: TLW understand what an emotion is.TLW identify the 5 major emotions NOUN:A mental state that arises spontaneously rather than through conscious effort and is often accompanied by physiological changes; a feeling: the emotions of joy, sorrow, reverence, hate, and love. Anger • Anger is a emotion with a wide range of intensity, from mild irritation and frustration to rage. • It is a reaction to a perceived threat to ourselves, our loved ones, our property, our self-image, or some part of our identity. • Anger is a warning bell that tells us that something is wrong. • What are some things that make us Angry?
There are 3 components of Anger • 1. Physical “Flight or Flight” • 2. Cognitive (How we perceive things) • 3. Behavior- Way we express ourselves

How does Anger and Frustration relate? • Write down a few ways you can stop yourself from getting frustrated.
Here are some tips on how to not get frustrated: • Tip # 1 – Take a deep breath! Do this about 3-5 times • Tip # 2- Talk it out! Say a calming word “Relax” • Tip # 3- Picture a peaceful image
Today’s Activity: Staying In Control Poster • Think about things that we can do to help keeps us from getting frustrated or angry. • Create a poster that can help keep you from losing control of your anger.
