Training goals • The goals of instruction in the B10 Suicide Core Training Course are to provide the student with: • A general understanding of suicide including factual information relative to suicides; • An understanding of how depression is related to suicide; • An understanding of how substance abuse is related to suicide; • Signs/intervention for suicide prevention; • Tools for responding to scenes of suicide threat or completion; • An overview of police suicides; • Information regarding aftermath issues; • General chaplain health and wellness and • Resources
