TERRAIN MODEL KIT

1. TERRAIN MODEL KIT - The colors and shapes here are recommended for use in your terrain model kit. Do remember to remove all colors before you print on colored paper. - This kit is basic, lacking the shapes necessary for more fancy displays. You should not need more than this and will likely find even less to be more than adequate. - You are recommended to use colored paper (which tends to be far brighter and more visible than printed colors) and to print (or write upon prior to lamination) on both sides so that some pieces might serve dual purposes. - To supplement your kit, add colored string to signify roads, rivers, phase lines, and the like. A safe distance for these is about 1.5 feet. - Other supplementary materials would include your protractor (with a string through the center to make the determination of azimuths quick and easy), a laminated card to label distance and direction, and alcohol (permanent) pens. - Store your kit in your notebook so it is always accessible for STX lanes. Storage will be easier if you create a flat, hard case (perhaps out of cut and taped laminate).
