  2. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. BIBLE Pope Pius X came from a poor family and they barely had enough money to put him in school….. He later became Pope anyway.

  3. Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land Pope Pius X would not consider himself to be the highest power even when he was a pope.

  4. Blessed are they who mourn: for they will be comforted. His mother died just before he became pope. He liked to think that she was watching him from Heaven.

  5. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. Pope Pius X believed that if people did good things, good things would happen to them.

  6. Blessed are the merciful: for they will be shown mercy. Pope Pius X gave away money until he was nearly broke. He gave to the homeless without caring how the homeless man became homeless.

  7. Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. Pope Pius X was clean of heart. He was a POPE!

  8. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Pope Pius X made peace anywhere he went.

  9. Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Pope Pius X believed strongly in justice and would have willingly given his own life in the sake of the Church.
