  2. Richard Nixon was born on January 9, 1913. Richard Nixon was born in Yorba Linda, California, when he grew up he graduated from Whittier College and then three years later he went to Duke University School of Law in 1937, he was very educated. He had then moved to Washington to work with the federal government.

  3. Richard had also served The United States Navy in World War II for a short amount of time. Richard was a Lieutenant Commander In the navy in 1945.

  4. Nixon was then elected in California to the House of Representatives in 1946 and then he was the Senate in 1950.

  5. Richard Nixon was then known as an anti-communist; Once he had done a case on the Alger Hiss (Alger Hiss was accused of being a soviet spy when he worked with the united nations in 1948)

  6. Richard then became Vice President with Dwight Eisenhower. Even though Nixon ran eight years as the vice president, he still lost the campaign against John F. Kennedy. He had then also lost the chance to be Governor of California in 1962. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Then in 1968 Nixon ran for President and he go elected as the 37th President of the United States.

  7. Richard’s Presidency only got America more involved with the Vietnam War. Thankfully Nixon discontinued the war in 1973.

  8. When Richard Nixon went to the Republic of China in 1972… …Nixon offered to make peace with between the nations, all while presenting the “Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty” with the Soviet Union in 1972.
