  2. Where is it Located? Caernarvon, Gwynedd, North Wales It has a latitude of 53.13932 and longitudeof -4.27686

  3. When was it Built? The construction of Caernarvon Castle was built in 1090 Earl Hugh of Rhuddlen. It was later rebuilt and fixed by King Edward 1 from 1283-1287and then finished by his son, King Edward 2 of England.

  4. History 1 5 3 Rebuilding started in 1295 and finished in 1330 Constructed under the direction of Earl Hugh of Rhuddlenin 1090 Present structure completed 1292 Captured by the Welsh from 1294-1295, damaged the building immensely Rebuilt and fixed by King Edward 1 around 1283-1287 2 4

  5. How It is Being Used Today Caernarvon Castle is now used for different tours and for exploration. Tourists explore the different parts in it. Caernarvon Castle isn’t used for war or attacking like when it was used in the past.

Difficulties of Maintaining a Castle Difficulties are listed below: • It is expensive – the material might decay or weaken and money would be needed to fix and rebuild it, workers should be paid to do work, supplies for work should also be bought from the nearest town or village. • Workers should clean the entire castle occasionally. • Security should be high so nobody would cause trouble or damage to the castle
