  1. EENG-489-M02Final report about auto-parking system Group: Watchmen Members: DaHeWen, YiRanHuang, QiuLuShen

  2. Expectation This semester we are trying to form up the hardware of auto-parking system and create the core algorithm of the system, and then do the simulation successfully by using matlab 7.0

  3. Time-sheet

  4. Result Because we are still lack of the knowledge of matab, we finally have finished the step of simulating, through a very tough process. It works successfully as we thought.

  5. Process the first is about the hardware, we can use toy car to simulate. The most important part is the selection of sensor chip.

  6. The standard of parking sensor: 1.Should have the reversing radar display, audible alarm, regional alerts and location instructions 2.The detection range should between 0.3m to 1.5m 3. The cost should not be too expensive

  7. Finally we choose pyle’s product-----watchdog

  10. Then we went to the lab to test the chip:

  11. 1.The warning distance test 2.The obstacle location display test 3.The detection dead angle test We have to do three tests:

  12. After the test, we find the parking sensor is good, so we decide to use these as the hardware of this system!

  13. The second is simulating the process of the auto-parking system. This is the most important part of this project!

  14. We should use matlab 7.0 to do the algorithm

  19. Future Plan in the holiday we should focus on the foundation of the source code and put the code in the sensor chip. Then finish our goal successfully!
