  2. Definition • Photosynthesis: is the process by which plants turn raw materials into food. • Raw Materials: Co2 and H2o • Equation: 6Co2+6H2o~light~=C6, H12, O6+6o2

  3. Step 1 • Co2 enters the leaf • The leaf is very important to Photosynthesis for it is the starting place of the process. • The typical leaf has an upper and lower epidermis, the mesophyll, the vascular bundles veins, and the stomates. Co2

  4. Step 2 • H2o enters through the roots. H2o

  5. Step 3 • Sunlight causes a chemical change when it passes through the water and the Co2. Sunlight causes a chemical change

  6. Step 4 • The plant makes sugar food from the chemical change caused by the water, sunlight, and Co2. Co2 Food for plant (sugar)

  7. Step 5 • The plant gives off O2 after the chemical change. oxygen oxygen
