  4. Ingres 2006 • Ingres 2006 is an open source database that is available for download. • Ability to backup data online or offline and customize recovery process. • Parallel Query Support allows complex queries to be executed in parallel.

  5. OpenROAD • OpenRoad is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) which is a type of software that assists computer programmers to develop software. • OpenRoad can use data from Ingres, Oracle, Sybase, Informix and Microsoft SQL Server

  6. Enterprise Access • Enterprise Access is a server that allows multiple databases like Oracle and Ingress to run together. • Current Enterprise Access supports • Oracle • Microsoft SQL • IBM DB2 UDB

  7. EDBC r2.3 • EDBC consists of three types of components: clients that provide connectivity between applications and the EDBC servers; servers that route SQL requests to the appropriate data access agent; and agents that interpret requests for data and map them to IBM mainframe data sources.
