Join us for a review of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, followed by an introduction to statistics in this year-long course. Learn about the grading system and various assessments. Be prepared for SAT/ACT practice and future math placement recommendations.

COURSE OUTLINE • Review of Algebra and Geometry including preparing for the ACT and SAT • Trigonometry using SOCHATOA, special triangles, Unit Circle, Graphs, Identities, and Laws Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7. Trigonometry ends in January. • Then we begin Statistics in the second semester. A new book is given. Chapters 1-9 are covered including contingency tables, marginal and conditional graphs, boxplots, modified boxplots, Normal distributions, and linear regressions.
I’m really boring!!!! Even though I’m a math teacher, it’s a really simple equation to calculate your son/daughter’s grade.
This is now a full year course. The grade will now be 45% of the first semester, 45% of the second semester, and the exam will count for 10% of the grade. The exam is on Statistics only!!! If a Senior has an A- or better by June, he/she will be exempt from the final.
How does one get these points, you may ask???? I know you’re on the edge of your seat!!!!

SAT/ACT Practice We will practice for the SAT I and ACT.
Placement for the next year. Juniors will be recommended for Probability/Discrete for Senior year Mathematics. Obviously, Seniors will be off to college and thus no placement.
Cell Phone Block is instituted in this class!!!
