Overview Bridge + table: keep for SciFi Cable trays + cables + rails: (partly) recycle for SciFi C-frames + detector + FE: no longer use
Strategy Keep detector modules + FE on C-frames Place C-frames in special transport frame Transport frame to Prevessin Unmount modules + FE after SciFi installation
Pit Preparation • Disconnect cables, cooling and gas lines from C-Frame patch panel • Disconnect entire rolling ducts from C-Frame • C-Frame is now “free” Decouple C-frame interfaces from infrastructure Place C-frames on transport frame (for 6-12 frames) • Locate C-Frame insertion/extraction “rail” + beam • Design and Construct Transport & Storage Frame • Move 12 C-Frames to Storage Frame • Locate storage space for 12 C-Frames Store frames above ground (don’t touch them) • Remove Rails (temporary storage) • Remove Table Rails (re-use) • Remove and Store Cable Duct (re-use) • Remove/Leave some cables (re-use) • If extra space needed (e.g. for Novec evacuation) then find it • Preliminary SciFi installation metrology Preparation Work area
