Savings • SCLS HQ equipment & maintenance is included!!! • Will be able to apply an average discount (@ 60%) for those libraries eligible for E-rate • Upcoming expenses include: • SCLS HQ Network equipment upgrade • Wireless solution • Firewall • They will all be more expensive than budgeted. • Rather than savings, E-rate may help fees from increasing.

Cost Formula Work Group Issues Library hardware costs are currently postalized SCLS spreads cost of library hardware over 6 years; e-rate cycle is 5 years Fees and discounts will need to be separated for libraries eligible for E-rate Assessment for SCLS staff costs for filing Fees for iBoss software

Timeline Now through February—iBoss filtering testing & pilot December 19—libraries notify SCLS of intent to comply with CIPA December through March—SCLS applies for E-rate for libraries End of iBoss pilot through July 1, 2016—SCLS set up iBoss in libraries applying for E-rate Now through July 1, 2016—Libraries complete other CIPA requirements
