Engagement & Recovery TeamAn overview… • The team consists of 3 Outreach workers and was launched in November 2010 • Objective: to increase throughput and positive exits • Re-engagement of potential ‘unplanned exits’ • Targeted ‘Recovery Reviews’ • Residential Rehab preparation group • Aftercare provision • The team work concurrently with the existing care coordinators
Engagement & Recovery Team • All 3 have excellent IT skills which have allowed the increased use and interrogation of client data • Each cover a specific locality and have worked there for a number of years • Attend weekly team meetings in local CDT’s • Weekly Peer Supervision, monthly PSI supervision
Re-engagement (that sticks...) Aims… • to re-engage back into meaningful treatment • exit drug free / occasional user Through… • Telephone, E-mail, text message, home visits etc… Therefore… • Reducing unplanned exits & increasing service user ownership of their treatment journey Of the 36 clients re-engaged in the last 6months, only 1 has dropped out of treatment since
