  4. Poseidon • God of the sea, earthquakes • Brother of Hades, Zeus • Lives on Mount Olympus • Symbol is the trident • Roman name is Neptune

  5. Athena • Goddess of wisdom, civilization • Patron of the city of Athens • Parthenon in Athens dedicated to her • Roman name was Minerva

  6. Aphrodite • Goddess of love, beauty • According to a creation myth, she was formed of sea foam • Had many lovers, including Ares • Roman name was Venus

Facebook Pantheon • Using a sheet of paper, each student will create a Facebook profile for one of the following people: Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite, Athena, Poseidon, Apollo, Artemis, Ares. • Your personal information section must include the following: Symbol, Patronage, About me section (2-3 sentence description). • Your profile must also have a wall and a picture

Facebook Pantheon • Besides the required profile info, you design the the profile as you see fit • Once you have finished decorating (coloring!) profile, you may write a comments on each other’s walls. • Your comments must be written from the perspective of your own profile • You may brag, compliment, or diss (careful…) • U cn wrt yrrrr cmnts hwvr u plzzzzzzzzzz! • Your comments have to be approved before you can actually copy them onto someone’s profile
