Moral Development • Defined by Miller as, “the process by which human beings learn to monitor their own actions and to decide whether a behavior is a “good” or “bad” thing to do and then inhibit inappropriate impulses.”
Kohlberg holds to the theory that people progress through a series of stages as they develop morally.
Each of the three levels and six stages is dependent on what is learned in previous stages.
